One little letter.

One little letter can change everything. How important is an 's'? Well sometimes, very important.

Directions: write a sentence using the word "once".

"Once, I got to ride a horse"

With no 's' everything changes.

(and yes, I laughed when I read what she'd written...)

  1. I LOVE kids!! That made me smile. One of my coworkers one year was working with 6 year olds on words that begin with 't'. She had one kid draw a triangle with a little line at the tip. The little girl then wrote 'tit.'

    She meant 'tent!'

  3. Funny.
A little adult humor in a child filled day can be fun.
Let's hope your student didn't get the humor. The sad thing is, some first graders would.
When I taught second grade I asked the class to share a favorite movie. The majority of favorites were rated R.
